Enriching Experiences for Personal Growth

Turning Point Activites

Cooking Classes

At Turning Point Washington, our cooking classes offer women the chance to develop essential life skills while building confidence in the kitchen. Led by experienced instructors, participants learn to prepare nutritious meals, practice budgeting, and gain practical experience in meal planning—all within a supportive, encouraging environment.

Art Therapy

Our Art Therapy program helps women express their emotions and heal through creative expression. Participants use various artistic mediums to explore their feelings, reduce stress, and build self-esteem, all while receiving support in a nurturing and non-judgmental environment.

Equine Therapy

Our equine therapy program allows residents to develop trust and confidence through horse interaction. Women learn to care for their horses in small groups, eventually progressing to riding lessons. This activity is therapeutic, fun, and relaxing, building relationships and confidence.

Sewing Sessions

Twice a month, a dedicated volunteer leads sewing sessions where residents can learn a new skill or hone existing talents. From creating reusable grocery bags to making pillowcases for children’s hospitals, these sessions are both therapeutic and practical.

Kaleidoscope II

Our artist collective promotes self-esteem and personal growth through creative expression in recovery. The Kaleidoscope II shop offers a vibrant space filled with local art, recovery gifts, and metaphysical products, fostering a sense of community and encouragement.
